Samantha Reed is a doctoral prepared board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner, located in Gallatin County. She started in patient care over a decade ago, first as a Certified Nursing
Assistant in geriatrics before pursuing a degree in Bachelor of Science in Nursing.
In 2017, Samantha began working in Public Health Nursing, focusing on care for families with infants and children. It was in her role in public health that she realized the depth of how health disparity is driven by social and economic inequities. This inspired her to continue her education. Samantha earned her master’s degree in nursing, with an emphasis in clinical nurse leadership, in 2020, and continued forward earning a Doctorate Degree as a board-certified psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner from Montana State University in 2023. She currently works as a psychiatric provider specializing in pediatrics, adolescents, and adults in multiple areas across Montana, using evidenced-based care to facilitate a patient focused treatment plan, and ultimately, to build hope and resilience within the community.
In her work, Samantha strives to help patient’s gain perspective to truly understand the healing process.
